Some of the schools surveyed this year were jubilant about their enrollment increases, especially Columbia Union College and Canadian University College. Two schools announced their introduction of programs in Biblical archaeology. Southern Adventist University will offer a new bachelor of arts in archeology, with two choices of emphasis: classical studies (with study of Greek) or Near Eastern studies (Old Testament, with study of Hebrew). Walla Walla College will offer a new minor in archaeology under the School of Theology, although it will be cross-listed with other departments. Faculty from both schools have been involved in archaeological projects in the Middle East. '
